EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Valor Christian Leadership Academy's educational philosophy is founded on a small student-to-teacher ratio.  With a maximum 16:1 ratio, teachers give more individualized attention to ensure each student's understanding of course material and differentiate instruction, when necessary.  Additionally, teachers build rapport to assist with goal achievement, meet specific needs, and encourage class participation.  This small student-to-teacher ratio assists with the successful implementation of the key elements below.

  1. Inclusive Learning Environment: Valor Christian Leadership Academy fosters an inclusive learning environment that enables students to learn in small and large group settings.  Inclusiveness builds student's self-esteem, develops independence, demonstrates appreciation for diversity, creates a culture of collaboration and teamwork, and  teaches essential life and leadership skills.
  2. Comprehensive Approach:  We aim to develop the whole student.  To accomplish this, goal-setting plays an essential role.  With the assistance of parents and staff, students set goals for every aspect of their lives- spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially and academically.
  3. Customization:  Academic instruction is delivered in a manner that highlights and advances the individual skills and needs of each student.
